attendance chart

Athena Elementary students and their teachers have been working hard on regular attendance for the 25-26 school year and it’s paying off. Each class has its attendance tracked and an award is given each month for the class that has the highest average classroom attendance that month.

Here are the winners so far:

September: 3rd Grade, Teacher Emily Hansell at 96.43%

October: 2nd Grade, Teacher Brittany Denny at 94.86%

November: 3rd Grade, Teacher Emily Hansell at 97%

All students in the winning class get a tag for their school charm necklaces, and the class is recognized at the Terrific TigerScots assembly.

Overall, Athena Elementary students have been averaging about 90% attendance, which is the school’s goal. “We have seen an increase in attendance, and that’s our goal. When students are at school every day, their learning trajectory consistently grows,” said Principal Kerri Coffman.

Keep up the good work, TigerScots!
