Helix Middle School will be hosting a Fall Festival on October 27th and has invited the Weston Middle School 6th-8th Graders. The Fall Festival will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a costume contest with prizes, pumpkin painting, a cake walk, and games. If you would like to donate something for the cakewalk, it would be greatly appreciated. Please keep in mind that larger cakes/desserts are difficult to transport and could end up in a mess, so small to medium-sized treats are preferred. For example, cookies, brownies, and Hostess/Little Debbie cakes. Please drop off items at the middle school between October 26th and 27th. Students are required to ride the bus to and from the dance unless a prior arrangement has been made with the school no later than 3 p.m. on October 27th. We will pick up and drop off in both Athena and Weston. We will pick up students in Weston at 2:30 p.m. and Athena at 2:40 p.m. We will return at about 5:30 p.m.
To be eligible for the dance, students must not be on the "Ineligible" grade checklist printed on October 26th and must not have received a major or two minor referrals since September 25th. Students must stay at the Fall Festival. If students are a behavior issue a parent/guardian must come pick them up. Permission slips need to be returned to Mrs. Fun by October 20th.
