10/31/22: WMS Announcements: Happy Halloween! Today's lunch is Chicken Crispito and Macaroni Salad. The winning grade from last week's spirit week competition is...... 5th grade with an overall participation of 85%! They will receive the pizza party! 2nd place: 6th grade with 76% 3rd place tie: 4th and 7th grade with 75% 4th place: 8th grade with 66%. 6th, 7th & 8th volleyball girls, volleyball uniforms are due to Dennis by tomorrow? Reminder--the Potato Show Harvest Festival is this Saturday, October 29th! Activities are from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Athena Weston Memorial Hall at 210 E Main Street in Weston.

The Weston potato show will be held this Saturday and they are looking for students who might want to share their 7 grade pillowcases and seventh and eighth grade pillows that were made in Home Ec. Prizes are being awarded for first and second place. If you would like to have them displayed, please bring your items to Mrs. Moore before Friday. Helix SD has invited our 6th-8th graders to their Halloween Dance on November 4th from 7:00 pm-9:00 pm. There will be a bus that will pick students up in both Weston and Athena. A couple of reminders for all students: We have found some gum smashed into the carpet within the building. Make sure you are discarding your gum appropriately or that privilege will be taken away. Students should not be purchasing or selling personal items at school for any reason. If you have questions about that, please come see Mrs. Vescio. There are home middle school volleyball games today and our middle school football team plays in Milton-Freewater today, good luck all!
