Attention Athena-Weston School District Parents: We are excited to welcome the nationally recognized vaping prevention program, Steered Straight, to our district on April 17th and 18th. The group will host a Parent Academy on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 6:30 pm in the Weston Middle School auditorium. You are invited to attend this powerful presentation designed to assist parents in gaining a better understanding of the nature of substance abuse, addiction, and prevention. We look forward to having you attend the Steered Straight Parent Academy to learn more about this important topic that impacts our community's youth. COPES 4 Youth will be holding a Teen and Family Nacho Game Night on Monday, April 29th, from 4:00–6:00 PM at May Park. This event is open to teens ages 11–17 and their families, offering a fun evening of games, connection, and delicious nachos! Our goal is to provide a positive activity for youth, help them engage with their families, and introduce them to the services we offer through COPES 4 Youth.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for students interested in healthcare! I will be taking a group of students who sign up on their own for this experience, which will provide valuable insight into medical careers and hands-on learning. Given the strong interest in healthcare among our students, this is a great chance to explore career options, connect with professionals, and gain real-world exposure.
